How to book an allergy test

Find the source of your allergies

Knowing where your allergies come from changes everything. It gives you clarity on how to prevent your symptoms, and direction on how to begin treating them at the source.

What Do We Test For?

It can take hours before sensitivities and allergic reactions are noticeable, making it hard for you to know what caused them.

By measuring the allergen-specific antibody load in your white blood cells, our serum tests check for both immediate and delayed reactions, ensuring you get accurate results that help you make better health choices.

Low dose allergen therapy can help you overcome allergy symptoms for good.

Common Allergy Testing Questions

Is allergy testing covered in BC?

Yes, in many cases some or all of the cost of getting an allergy test can be covered by MSP or your medical benefits provider.

How much does an allergy test cost?

The cost of an allergy test depends on the type of allergy test you receive and the number of allergens that you’re assessed for.

How do you get allergy tested?

We use what’s known as a serum allergy test. It’s conducted by drawing a small amount of blood from you, then analyzing it to measure the amount of allergen-specific antibodies in your white blood cells. This lets us determine which substances you’re allergic or sensitive towards.

Can allergies be cured?

Allergies can’t be “cured” with medication or surgery, but their effects can be controlled and reduced in some cases with low dose allergen immunotherapy (often shortened to LDA therapy) which gradually builds up the body’s tolerance.
