Your BIO-IMPEDENCE ANALYSIS (BIA) shows your measurement of body fat in relation to lean body muscle mass. A BIA is usually performed during your physical exam, which is commonly your second visit with Dr. Emina.

BIA Pre-Test Preparation:

 

  • Consume 2 to 4 glasses of water 2 hours prior
  • No alcohol within 24 hours prior
  • No food, exercise, or caffeine for 4 hours prior
  • No diuretic medications for 6 hours prior
  • Void body of fluids prior to test
  • Remove all metal jewelry prior to test
  • Do not wear pantyhose
